I've been thinking of doing this for a while now and since I haven't posted for a couple days I figured I should do it now. I just ordered a pretty big shipment of new books from amazon so I'm going to have a pile of books to review for you pretty soon :) but then again school's coming back so.... :(
So this post is songs that make me think of a book or a person/relationship in the books or TV show.
True Love by Pink - Katy (Ann) Swartz/Black and Daemon Black's relationship in The Lux Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout.
I know this song could fit for a lot of other relationships, but I feel like Katy and Daemon's fit it best

Isabelle just felt so alone during that period after Max's death, blaming herself for everything I just think this song kind of fits her state of mind

Maybe it's because I had an obsession with this song when I read this series, but just listening to this song makes me think of the two of them because Aiden will do anything to protect Alex, including breaking all the rules
Shattered by Trading Yesturday - Jace Herondale and Clary Fray/Morgenstern's relationship end of City of Bones through City of Glass, The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare
Because both Jace and Clary are so hurt, confused and broken by the fact that they're siblings, the lyrics in the song 'I've lost who I am' especially make me think of Jace

Maybe it's because I was obsessed with this song when I read the Hunger Games, I don't know, but this song makes me think of Katniss

Opposition by Jennifer L. Armentrout
BY THE ANGEL THIS BOOK WAS SO AMAZING. If not a little short, I could really use like 20 more books, Jen. I really could. But anyway I would rate this book a 10/10 stars, it was fantastic. I loved it. Well- how could I not love a book with Daemon Black in it? I mean , I hate the cover change, you go from this-

I wish they'd at least made an original cover for Opposition so it would match the books on my book shelf :(.
Anyway if you haven't read any of the Lux series, I highly recommend these books, they're one of my all time favorite series that I've ever read- which is saying something because I've read A LOT of books. So here's the synopsis for Obsidian:
Starting over sucks.
When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.
And then he opened his mouth.
Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something... unexpected happens.
The hot alien living next door marks me.
You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.
If I don't kill him first, that is.
IT'S SO GOOD!!!! If you haven't read it. Go read it. Now. It's so freaking amazing. So once you read the series come back and read my very spoilery review. :)
SPOILERS FOR OPPOSITION BELOW
"You're broadcasting your thoughts so damn loudly I feel like I need to go in a corner and start rocking, whispering Daemon's name." We didn't really get to know Archer in Origin, but we got to know him better in this book and I loved his character.
When Katy went with Archer to the store and then all the Luxen came I WANTED KATY TO FREAKING RUN! -_- she can't just listen for once, really? I guess that's one of the reasons why I like her, but that doesn't mean she shouldn't have run!
"I was on level 69 of Candy Crush, you bastard." I love Dawson. In my reread of the series right before this book came out I thought about it more and yeah, I love Dawson, like I want his POV after realizing Daemon and Katy are together, after rereading Shadows, the prequel novella, he never would have thought DAEMON Would have fallen in love with a human after all the crap he gave Dawson about it. Congrats to Daemon and Dawson for being able to keep their emotions, not so much to Dee.
So also in my reread of the series I saw that there was a Roland mentioned by Jocelyn in Opal, I had read the snippets and was like ROLAND! but nope just two different Luxen named Rolland it appears.
I congratulate you, Jen, for making it so we COULD NOT TELL IF DAEMON STILL HAD HIS EMOTIONS FROM HIS POV. That was incredibly frustrating and making you need to read more at the same time. I just had to know if he was faking or not! Lucky for us he wasn't otherwise we'd have to go through that whole Dee-fight on amuch larger scale and Daemon would never stop beating himself up about it.
Ugh so Sadi, I'm on Kat's side for this, I didn't like her fro, the beginning, but then we find out she's an Origin and I'm just like, yup, it's decided. I hate her. It made me so happy when she died.
I thought that the bitch Dee was going to get in the way big time in this book, but she didn't. It's incredible that the three triplets made it out alive, not that I'm complaining if I had a bet on which of them would die in this book it probably would've been Dee.
I LOVED the scene when Daemon, Dawson and Katy were fighting everyone, that might have been my favorite fight sequence in the book, that or the part where they fight Dee, that was awesome. Not that I liked that they had to fight Dee, it's just we've never seen her fight before, Daemon and Dawson would have never allowed it, so I had no idea she even could fight so it was interesting seeing her in combat.
By the Angel when we found out Daemon and Katy weren't connected I just couldn't believe it, but then this thought popped into my mind- Jennifer wouldn't disconnect them... unless... One of them was going to die in this book.
Needless to say I flipped out about that.
So my prediction on this book was that they were going to team up with the government and the Arum and I was celebrating to myself when I found out I was right. It was a lot of fun reading about Daemon and Hunter, I just read Obsession today and Daemon and Hunter's first meeting from Serena's POV and I REALLY want them meeting Hunter and Serena again from one of the couple's POV just to see how they feel about meeting Katy and everything. I will not be doing a book talk or blog post about Obsession simply because I do not have enough to say. Sorry.
Were any of you wondering when we were going to meet this Luxen leader? Because I was. Was it Ethan? I didn't get the feeling it was, but whatever. I was expecting an epic battle and then Ethan's death, but nope his death was rather swift. I mean, Katy just shoots him and he's over.
Oh, when Daemon and Katy had unprotected sex? I was so scared that Katy had gotten pregnant, luckily she hadn't, we don't really need ANOTHER baby origin on the way, especially if Kat is going to fight.
"We could really use the Avengers right now."
"Screw that, we need Loki." Lol.
Aw the whole thing with Luc and Nadia was so sad, because she had obviously died at the end go the book. You know what Jen? I really want a companion novel about Luc and Nadia, how they met and how he fell in love with her, and then when she's dying he tells her he loves her and she feels the same way, they kiss and his heart breaks in two, yeah I would so read that. It's be so cute! I feel so bd for Luc though! Thinking he's not good enough for her and having Daemon get him the LH-11 just for it to not work? :(
Having Luc as an ally is really good, an enemy? not so much.

This was going to go well.'
Ew, hearing about the opal sewn into Lotho's skin it was just gross to even read about. I found it entertaining that Lotho 'wanted' to feed off Katy and they were about to let him but then he was like, yeah, uh, no I only eat grade A Luxen and Katy just thinks Should I be offended? Lol.
I loved the part where Katy is saying like
"Look I know you guys are BEFS."
and Daemon's just like
"What?"
"Best Enemies Forever, duh."
I don't know why none of the group thought to knock Dee out and kidnap her, especially when she came in to attack and kill Daemon. I would have knocked her out if I were Daemon- or Katy. I liked that Katy talked to Dee, trying to bring the real Dee back even though Dee had hurled her through a wall. Aw but when Dee came back and was scrambling closer to Daemon? So cute.
"And I expect a Christmas card this year." I really liked Lore, especially when he said that line after giving them each one of those guns.
I knew that Katy's mom couldn't be Katy's mom, especially when Daemon was saying 'Kat' in warning tones. BUT I WANTED IT TO BE HER MOM. I mean she never even got to say goodbye and I almost cried for Kat there, like my eyes got glassy. It really reminded me of when Daemon found out that Dawson was 'dead' the last few paragraphs in Shadows were heartbreaking. At 85% in the book they say 'hink' instead of 'think'.
Daemon and Kat are having this cute moment and then Nancy a.k.a moment ruiner comes up and has the nerve to try and shoot Katy. But then Daemon jumped in front of her and I honestly believed he was going to die, and two tears fell down my face. That wasn't crying but it was pretty damn close compared to other times I've read books and watched movies. It was just so close to the end of the book and him dying would be a sadistic plot twist some authors go for, I mean, Jen already kind of did it once, didn't she?
I'm glad Dee found another love interest after Adam, but I do miss the Thompsons I was just starting to like Ash and Andrew and then they died :(. I thought naming Dawson and Beth's kid 'Ashley' was fitting since Ash had saved Beth's life, dying in the process.
They said 'Always' 'Always' again in this book, seriously they are sostealing The Fault in Our Stars's thunder, lol.
All together I loved this book, it was really enjoyable, I just wantedmore this can't be the end of Kat and Daemon! I need a novella that's 900 pages about them going to college and everything, Jen!
Seriously though, this book was shorter than Origin.

Lux Series by Jennifer Armentrout
So I would rate it a 10/10 stars
OMG SO GOOD
Though I did keep flashing back to Lorien Legacies, like I could see this as from Sarah's point of view, except, Katy's much more awesome.

Okay so looks like my computer is crashing again so I'm going to be stuck with this retarded underline for the rest of the review YAY. I really hate this computer like seriously they already stopped selling it and yet my parents refuse to buy me a new one even though I've been asking for one since autumn. They finally caved in to help pay for a MacBook after this thing crashed too many times. Then I'll be updating this website a lot more. v OMG got that off I just typed V. See what I mean? This computer is messed up.
Okay so back to the spoilers.
Daemon is so freaking hot! I love how protective he is over the ones he loves and like Dee and Katy. Damn I keep spelling it Katie. Whatever -_-. It was so funny when he reached in between Simon and Katy. 'Oh sorry just getting something to drink.' Then when he and Katy woke up tangled together. too good. I also read the scene from Daemon's POV, he thought it was a dream tehe. I love the line when Katy says something like 'Someday I will hunt down and kill that pen of his' or something like that. You know, since he's always poking her in the back?! We could all tell that Simon (Tehe any TMI fans reading this?) was going to like try to rape Katy or something, at least I could. When Daemon says something is off, it's off. Like FREAKING BLAKE HE KILLED ADAM AND ALMOST KILLED DEE. Like when I thought Dee was dead I was seriously like NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO and when Adam died my brain kinda malfunctioned. I didn't even know him that well, just that, you know, he wasn't a dickbag like his siblings (that includes Ash) Though I did genuinely feel bad for Ash and Andrew. What's up with their names? Ash Adam and Andrew
Then there's Dee Daemon and Dawson. Like really?
I bet Matthew's siblings were Mason and Melissa or something like that. then Chris was like Chandelier and Cheyenne. I never believed Dawnson was dead, did you? though Beth is a bit of a whack job.
I didn't trust Blake the slightest after the whole Arum incident. I should have listened to Daemon's gut feeling like I should have originally listened to Jace's. OKAY UNIVERSE I'VE LEARNED MY LESSON! I'm not exactly crazy about the cover look, but you know, I'll get by from the amazingness of these books.
This series is defiantly going on my to buy list. I'd prefer hardcover but I heard only like the fourth book comes in hardcover. If you're wondering what I'm talking about then I'll tell you. I buy most of my books on my kindle fire or my kindle instead of in real book form. Then if I really like them I'll buy them in real life (which I'm kinda behind on) mostly in hardcover but if I can't do that than I GUESS paperback will do. Raziel, I'm so glad I didn't ask for the Maze Runner box set for my brithday. I HATED That series, I'm still too lazy to post a review about it though, lol.
I seriously skipped the TVD and Reign Season finales to read and that's saying something. Please no spoilers though, I still haven't watched them ivebeen so caught up in reading. Like seriously I've hardly eaten today I've been reading so much. AND I still read them after my eye appointment. If you didn't know, those eye drops make it extremely hard to read, but I just couldn't physically possible put the book down. (PLEASE IGNORE THE IVEBEEN MY COMPUTER SPAMMED OUT ON ME) I cannot wait to get a new one. I'm seriously considering throwing this computer off my roof once I've gotten a new one. No joke. Anyway that's all I have to say for now email me any book recommendations and I'll add it to my list to read. See you guys after I read the next book or two in this addicting series.

SO I FINISHED THESE (as many as are out) The last book comes out August 5 and man am I pumped.
I would rate these books a 9/10 stars. AMAZING. I loved these so much. I literally couldn't even tear my eyes away from the book. If you saw a girl walking around Ikea today with her nose in a book, that would be me. READ THIS SERIES you will not regret it.

Okay so I've started taking notes so that I can review this better with you guys ;)

So Dawson is back. I feel so bad for him. OMG he just went through so much pain and suffering. I just.. I feel so much epathy for hurting characters, don't you? HE's such a sweetheart, though him being in Katy's room was a little creepy. I was kinda scared that it might be a love triangle between Daemon and Dawson and Katy. IDK I'm crazy. When Dawson threw that guy through the window though, I was like HOLY F***K!!!!!
AND THEN BLAKE HAD THE NERVE TO COME BACK THAT BASTARD!! THEN HOW DARE HE SLEEP WITH KATY (KREEP) AND BETRAY THEM I WANT TO JUST RIP- Okay breatheeee. THEN WILL COMING BACK NO THIS IS NOT HAPPENING.
Then Dawson he's sooooooooooo cuteeeee.. I love him. <3 But seriously Dee needed to stop being a bitch to Katy it was not her fault Adam died. Like seriously even Ash is nicer after Adam's death. Did any of you notice, but I think Andrew liked Dee. And DAMNIT JUST TAKE THE FRIENDSHIP BACK DEE!!! And Seriously Blake? Taking them to a strip club to meet a 14 year boy? (Though Luc is AWESOME) UGH Blake you get on my nerves. I feel so bad for Dawson he was really hurting for Bethany.
Seriously Katy needs to get over this whole jealous of Ash thing, don't you think? It's pretty obvious Daemon loves her. So just get over it Katy. I literally had to drop my kindle from embarrassment quite a few times.
Then they said Okay? Okay. BWAHAHAHA I had been waiting for that for a while now. YEs. All you TFIOS fans they said it!!! (They as in Daemon and Katy)
I had so many mixed feelings about trusting Blake. Part of me felt bad for him. The other part wanted Dee to rip his head off for killing Adam. He had some nerve betraying them. That fucking asshole.

I was really afraid something had happened to Archer when he decided to hold off the soldiers.
I WAS SO HAPPY WHEN DAEMON'S FAMILY ARRIVED. I missed Dee, even if she had been a bitch lately. The moment Archer looked at Dee I KNEW I KNEW There would be a Dee x Archer thing. Haha when Dee realized he could read minds and she was imagining him naked....
I was so happy when Katy decided to let go off the jealousy thing on Ash, who I'm actually starting to like. I am also really happy Dee pulled her head from her ass and forgave Katy to her face.
It was so funny Daemon being over protective of Dee. I loved the Archer and Dee thing while Daemon like was flipping out inside.

Then Archer's reaction to them being married. That was too good.
I remember in the second book when I found out someone had turned in Dawson and Beth in I thought MATTHEW but then dismissed the idea.... But it looks like I was right. Matthew You You You, I can't even describe how I feel about that. I mean I know he was doing it to protect his familuy.. but......
I LOVE Andrew he's so awesome. Like doing the jig dance OMG I was crying of laughter.

As you can tell I was really distraught over Ash and Andrew's death. Paris, I wasn't really upset about that, we didn't know him that well, and I just was more upset over Ash and Andrew. I just..... Then Beth is prego... Wow plot twist. They are going to have an Origin. I hope Beth makes it, she's been through hell and back, so have Dawson, Daemon and Katy. Then the ending, how the Luxen left to go to the others..... WTF WAS THAT?!
I will be waiting impatiently for the next book.

I read it on Saturday but was unable to post another review so here it is.
I would rate this a 8/10 stars
If you have not read this yet and you have read the other Lux books, go read this book now. Though, as far as I can tell it only comes in E-book form.
Spoilers below
This book was so heartbreakingly heart warming, funny, and cute. It's great yet sad to see how Dawson and Beth were before. So much more lively. I was sad throughout the entire book, because a part of me knew that they would be captured and put through hell for 2 years. Though the majority of my brain succeeded in pushing out the thought until the very end.
I love the whole spork ordeal. And how in love both Dawson and Beth are. It was nearly love at first sight for them.
It broke my hear in the end to read this
'Sorrow and rage rippled through him as his light burned reddish-white. Dee's tears poured through the bond, her whispered denials kept coming, and God, he would've given his own life at that moment to take away her pain and loss.
And to change the come of the last things he'd said to his brother. You're going to get that girl killed. Why hadn't he said he loved him? No. Instead he'd said that. Misery cleaved his soul sinking in deep like a hot, serrated knife.'
There were quite a few funny parts though. And seeing Adam, Ash, and Andrew..... That depressed me. Though they showed Ash and Andrew as total bitches, I knew that they were only doing that to protect Dawson, their brother. I loved these parts
'"I was outside, and it looked as if a light show was going on in your bedroom. Daemon said you were probably mas-"
And Dee also knew no boundaries.
"Ah, no, please don't finish that sentence." He lowered his hands, eyes narrowing at his sister. "Don't ever finish that sentence."'
'"Did you just clean a dish?" Dee backed away slowly, blinking. She glanced at Daemon. "The world is going to end. And I'm still a vir-"
"No!" Both brothers yelled in unison.
Daemon looked like he was actually going to vomit. "Jesus, don't ever finish that statement. Actually don't ever change that. Thank you."
Her mouth dropped open. "You expect me to never have-"'
'She. Spoke. To. Him. First. It was like winning the lottery, getting laid, and climbing the highest cliff all rolled into one.'
'He wanted to go over to that asshat's (HAHA ANY TMI FANS THERE??) house and drive his car through it. The fact that he liked his Jetta was the only thing that stopped him from giving them a new doorway.'
'Was that how he stared at Beth? Like she was a stake?
"You never look at me like that." Ash pouted.
Daemon stared at her. Definately not like that.'
'Secondly he had a mean streak the size of the Grand Canyon, but he wasn't about threatening girls. And finally, Dawson had just gotten that phone after Dee had accidentally zapped the other one, and he'd cry if anything happened to his Jetta.'
'She seriously hoped Daemon didn't kill Dawson. She'd grown fond of the boy.'
ANYWHO I just felt like typing those down for other people's enjoyment. Not sure if it actually benefited anyone else. But whatever. I loved the relationship between Dawson and Beth. It kinda reminded me of Katy and Daemon. But it was a lot more innocent.... Well, with boys like Daemon, Jace, Will and Nine I'm not sure it's possible to have an innocent relationship.
